A Crook Hall and Gardens Wedding
Hey There! Awh man, Crook Hall and gardens in Durham is one of my favourite wedding venues. I love how stunning it is, you don’t even realise you’re in the middle of the city (plus the staff are amazing and always look after me!)
Natalie and Steven got married at Crook Hall in August and it was a beautiful summers day, which is exactly what these guys wanted, meaning they got to spend it in the stunning gardens.
Crook Hall and Gardens
Natalie and Steven chose Crook Hall as their wedding venue when they fell in love with the gardens there. Plus Natalie loves old buildings that match her vintage style.
From Crook Hall:
“The 13th century Grade I listed Medieval hall in Durham City provides a spectacular backdrop to the stunning gardens. Visitors from all over the world come to share in the timeless magic of Crook Hall and leave inspired by these idyllic English themed gardens. Soak up the atmosphere over a home-made cream tea in the pretty courtyard or in front of a log fire in the Georgian dining room. The gardens are just a short walk from Durham City’s bustling market place. Country Life described the Hall as having “history, romance and beauty”, and it’s just waiting to capture your heart.”
The Wedding Day
The day was filled with lots of laughs in a beautiful setting, plus live music provided by Gareth Beddard, and Anth Jones along with Lauren Shaw (Honestly can’t recommend these guys enough, so much talent). We even went for a little trip out to the river in the VW camper these guys had hired.
On having your pictures taken – “We both felt very relaxed having our photo taking on the day. My only advice is just relax and try take in the moment rather trying to over think what the photos will look like.”
On your wedding day and advice for future Brides and Grooms – “Our favourite part of the wedding was saying our vows in front of all my family and friends, and then having drinks in the stunning gardens.
Natalie and Steven say a top tip for future Couples getting married is to relax, and just take the time to appreciate the moment and take it all in, because the day will go by so fast!
I’ve got to give a shout out to the amazing Scream for Pizza too, these guys gave me two amazing pizzas to take home, and they were delicious, all served out the back of a van! You What!?
