A Ushaw College Wedding // You’re a Wizard Harry

Hey! I’m finally catching up on some of my blogging, and I’m sharing this is the lovely Ushaw College Wedding of Holly and Ryan. They got married at North Shields Registry office, which is a stunning building over looking the Tyne. They then went to Ushaw College in Durham, which is an amazing building, and Hollys Dad even gave a cool little tour which I went along for!

The Wedding

These guys got married in August on a Friday, as some of their closest family and friends are teachers and they wanted it so they could attend. The ceremony was their favourite part of the day, as it went so perfectly, and was so special!

They chose both of the venues as they are both beautiful and historic buildings. Each of these lent itself perfectly to the ‘homemade’ theme that Holly and Ryan were going with, which included some amazing decorations and handmade flowers. There was even a nod to Harry Potter which fitted in amazingly inside the Ushaw College Refectory Hall, it was like having dinner in Hogwarts!

Holly and Ryan say a big tip for future couples is to let people know they are going to be needed for the group photos! As people will wander off. They also say not to make important decisions based on what your family members want, make sure you guys are happiest first! That sounds like good advice to me!

Ushaw College Wedding

From Ushaw College: “Ushaw, which started its life as a catholic seminary training men for the priesthood, is now open to the public. Ushaw can claim its history going as far back as the famous English College at Douai, France. After the French Revolution, and a resettlement back to their homeland of the Catholics who had been persecuted there, Ushaw College was born.

As you’ll be able to see, this place was beautiful and fitted in with their day beautifully. I hope you love these pictures!
