A West Sussex Wedding // Steyning Outdoor Wedding

Heyyyy, Look at this amazing outdoor West Sussex wedding. This was my first trip to Sussex, and southerners definitely know how to party! This wedding was recently featured on Rock n Roll bride which is pretty amazing!

Absolute bonus points to Jess for making that amazing headpiece too!

The Wedding

“Our ceremony was completely bespoke, we created the ceremony together with our Celebrant, Sarah. It was entirely personal to us and involved all the special people in our lives. We particularly cherish that all our friends and family got to bless our wedding rings and that so many people were involved with readings and music. “

These guys had an amazing outdoor ceremony Coops arriving in a VW camper and meeting Wardy on the aisle. Every guest then blessed the rings as they were passed round, and as they exited the aisle guests were encouraged to make as much noise as possible with the instruments they had been asked to bring! Amazing! This was followed by drinks served from watering cans and a bathtub before heading inside for speeches and some roast lamb, which had been cooking over a pit all day.

” We wanted to have the biggest party ever and also wanted to make sure that our guests did not go hungry or that they ran out of Drink. Being in the countryside a long way from anywhere meant that we had to ensure we had plenty of food and drink on site so that we definitely would not run out. We still have loads of wine and beer left over and on the morning after the wedding were giving loads of food away to the overnight guests to take away with them. “

West Sussex Wedding

After this there was an awesome Keighley followed by the dance floor being filled for the insanely talented “Murdochs Crazy Eyes” an incredible Rock band who were amazing at every song they played.

When people were dancing inside, they were outside enjoying pizzas made to order, wrapped in blankets, and making themselves comfortable on the hay bales around the open fires. Definitely a popular choice for those having a west sussex wedding.

I asked Wardy and Coops if there was any advice they would give to future couples and they said this:

“Get Wedding insurance as soon as you book the venue. Accept help from everyone who offers it. Remember it is your day and it is about the two of you. If it is important to you, do it. If it doesn’t feel relevant/value for money/necessary, don’t bother. Start your own traditions.

Everything was a new idea once. Watch car-crash TV like Don’t tell the Bride, Bridezillas and Say yes to the Dress, it will make you feel better .

Plan as well as you can, and then don’t worry about the plan happening perfectly. No one is going to know that the day happened exactly as you planned, or if it went off piste. They are there for a good time and to Celebrate the two of you!”

I hope you love the pictures!
