High House Farm Wedding // Dance For Me!
Oh so we all know how much I love a wedding up north, and this one did not disappoint. I first of all got to visit my favourite city of Newcastle, where Hannah was getting ready with her girls at the Malmaison.
This was then followed by heading up to High House Farm Brewery in Northumberland, a Micro Brewery on a farm, which holds weddings with a marquee, what’s not to love!?
I asked Hannah and James what made them fall in love with, and have a High House Farm Brewery wedding.
“We chose High House Farm as it is a lovely barn setting in the middle of northumberland with locally produced and sourced food and full customisation for the day.
We didn’t have a theme – but we did have charities that are close to our hearts featured throughout. Tynemouth RNLI, Learning Disabilities North East (LDNE) and British Heart Foundation – all proceeds from the sale of the beers went to the three charities, split evenly.”
I also asked how they found having their pictures taken, as its always nice for future couples to know what to expect too!
“Daz makes having your photo taken very easy. You don’t notice he’s there after a while! And when Daz says “why don’t we do this? – just go with it. They’ll end up being your favourite photos.”
“Our favourite part of the day was the band (The wildcats of Kilkenney) and ceremony. The band made our wedding the most amazing party and got everyone up on the dancefloor to enjoy it with us (plus I think Daz enjoyed himself a little too!)
The ceremony was perfect. With all of our friends there and how the registrars made the wedding feel personal for us. Daz took some amazing photos and really captured that for us to remember for years to come.”
Advice for Brides and Grooms to be
“Take some time away from everything to spend some time together. Have a cup of tea or a coffee and just talk. You really won’t get chance at any other point of the day.”
