A Wharfedale Grange Wedding // Teachers Gone Wild

Oh man, this Wharfedale Grange wedding proves that teachers know how to party! Mix that with some rugby players and you’ll get a dance floor like Fran and Tom did! I bloody loved these guys, they were so much fun, and just wanted a relaxed day for them and their guests, and they had exactly that. I do wish Tom would have carried me like he carried everyone else.

These guys got married at St Oswalds Church, and then headed to Wharfedale Grange for their reception / feast / drinks / dancing / ladyboys (its a type of drink).

This was such an awesome day. We all know I’m a sucker for a Wharfedale Grange wedding, its lush, the staff are great, they keep me fed and watered, and they constantly tell me how amazing I am. I absolutely LOVE being one of their recommended photographers.

The Wedding

“We wanted a traditional ceremony and St Oswald’s was a church we had driven past for years and said how beautiful it was. So when we had chosen our reception venue it seemed like fate just pulled us there!

As for Wharfedale Grange, it just took our breath away even as a building site!

We knew we wanted a barn wedding which is what you get with Wharfedale Grange but with all the style, elegance and class thrown in too! Clare had thought of every tiny detail and I knew the prosecco tap and cocktail hour would go down a treat with our friends and family!”

Wharfedale Grange Wedding Photo’s

“The photographs were just incredible!

Throughout the day we didn’t even know we were having our photos taken – it was as though Daz and Andy who he had as a second photographer were just extra guests! They fit right in with our friends and family and participated in all the banter and craziness that was part of our day!

MY BIGGEST TIP for choosing your photographer is to make sure you actually get on with them as you’re spending some of your most intimate moments of the day with them so you need to feel relaxed and enjoy their company!”

Your Top Wedding Tip(s)

Oh we have so many tips! So I’ve tried to narrow them down:

  1. Give yourself enough time to plan the wedding so you can actually enjoy the planning process!
  2. Try to sit back and have some moments to yourselves where you can just take in the day
  3. The day is about you and spending it with the people you love so go and do that! Don’t worry about trying to have photographs with every family combination and wasting time during your precious day. Go chat, have fun and dance with your guests – it’s what you invited them for!

We had a magician during the canapes called Scott Perry and he was amazing. He kept everyone entertained right from the youngsters through to the older generation.

Big thanks to Andy Matheson for being my second photographer too!
